A-Train Oregon Magic
Skill and Development Camp
Discovery Sports is teaming up with A-Train Oregon Magic and MBA Hoops to bring the first "A-Train Oregon Magic Skill and Development Camp" featuring former pro and elite trainer Alex Austin. Attendees will be coached by one of of the nations' most influential youth basketball figures and be given a variety of drills and workouts that will help take their game to the next level. They will also have the ability to showcase their talent during camp games and tournaments. The camp is offered in two sections: one for grades 2nd through 8th, and one for grades 9th through 12th. The high school portion of the camp will be put on as a player exposure camp where players will be evaluated by Alex Austin. This a camp you do not want to miss!
Featuring former pro and elite trainer:
Alex Austin is one of the West Coast’s most influential youth basketball advocates. Alex attended Arizona State University where he received a full athletic scholarship. Following his collegiate career, Alex was fortunate to play professionally for 15 years where he played in the CBA, NBA, ABA, South American and European Leagues. After his professional career, Alex and his wife Beckie created A-Train for Youth, providing basketball camps, trainings, and teams to youth of all ages.
Alex has been instrumental in creating exposure opportunities for youth on the West Coast through basketball. Along with training current NBA players, Alex has coached and directed basketball camps for many notable figures within the sport including Bryon Russell, Thurl Bailey, Pat Riley, Magic Johnson and Rick Majerus, to name a few. His elite club, A-Train Magic, is an affiliate of the Compton Magic and is sponsored by Adidas. Alex is proud to extend this brand to the Rogue Valley and begin helping create opportunities for the youth of Southern Oregon.
